August 2012:
The month began with Shakespeare on the Common, having someone hit the front bumper of the Subaru while parked in front our apartment on Berkeley St, Benoit interviewed for jobs in SF and had his appointment with the civil surgeon (no syphilis) for the green card interview. We arranged for a temporary apartment in Cambridge on Mass Ave at the Greek Institute and arranged to have a container dropped off from Door to Door for our move to CA.
We went on our only backpacking trip of the summer the first weekend in August to Mt. Moriah in NH. We drove up Friday, stayed at the Moose Brook Campground, and started our hike from the Wild River Campground trailhead. We hiked the Moriah Brook Trail to the AT (Carter-Moriah). The trail was unused and low lying and therefore muddy, buggy, and slow going.

After a very intense ascent to the AT
We stayed the night at the Imp campsite where we luckily had a platform all to ourselves. Benoit had fun with his poncho and built a rain shelter for a passing shower. He ended up sleeping outside under the poncho.

In the morning we summited Mt. Moriah after stashing our packs below the summit. We hiked out the same way we came in and drove home exhausted. Blue Ribbon BBQ was picked up for dinner
Sweet Success!!
We both had a stomach bug in the middle of the month, I trained a new employee at the bakery (Kevin from Keefe Tech), and Benoit signed on for one more month at CfA.
We packed things to donate, to ship to CA, and to keep with us in Cambridge. We sold many things online and arranged for most of our furniture to be picked up for free.
We need a tandem cozy creek...
I had dinner with her old colleagues from Living Proof, finished her job at Susu's, and packed the bulk of the apartment. We hosted a mini going away party and Benoit managed to find new homes for a lot more of our stuff.

The storage unit was delivered on the 24th and picked up on the 31st. It was a bit of a rush on Thursday night but we managed to pack in everything we wanted too and it's full.
Tetris!
The month ended with 3 trips in the Subaru to move to our temporary apartment and dinner at MuLan with Joe and Diana (& friends/family) and Ruby (who had also just moved that day).
